I design and build mechatronic systems — where mechanical structure, electronics, and control code meet. Explore a selection of projects spanning robotics, embedded control, and applied automation.
Hello, I am Alexander! I make software that tricks silicon to work for you.
I was drawn to engineering by the power of turning ideas into something real. I studied at Massey University, completing a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) majoring in Mechatronics. After graduating, I moved into Embedded Software, where I get to use my skills to help the people and community around me.
I'm currently open to junior engineer roles where I can keep building on my embedded software and mechatronics experience.
Developed a Python GUI and backend tool that fuses data from current, voltage, torque, and temperature sensors on a dynamometer test system.
Investigated the use case for radar sensors as part of a safety system for carpark entrance gates.
Presenter at the inaugural TRACES conference (2024), writer for the TRACES journal, and member of the External Communications Board (2025).

A group project prototyping a highly automated coil winding machine to replace a fictional company's manual process.
